Culture Movement is about performance, precision, growth and shared experience. Our mission is to provide space, guidance and support for you.

The dream came out of a frustration with the nature of rehabbing sports injuries, the isolation, the performance loss, the uncertainty and the frustration. We want to remove all of that.

We want you to feel connected to our team, performing at your absolute best at all stages, identifying clear goals for any stage of rehab and to have a space that goes beyond the treatment table.

Physiotherapy

Our physio appointments are bookable 1-1 for either 40 or 60 minutes. Each session consists of an assessment with full objective testing to inform decision making, any recommended treatments and planning and goal setting for progressions.

We are also available for consultation with outside physiotherapists and offer rehab testing and data interpretation.

For those interested in additional care and consistency we have rehab membership options through Iron Age Strength which includes a full physiotherapy assessment and reassessment as well as access to the gym for the month.

Performance

Not injured but having trouble with a performance goal? We offer program review, injury baseline testing, pre operative assessments and consultations.

Working with a coach already? We love collaborating and are happy to provide full data and analysis to your coach to assist with programming to help you meet your goals.

Alex Athayde

Alex Athayde BA MPT

Owner
Performance physiotherapist

Alex holds a masters degree in physiotherapy and has done additional training in athletic and performance rehabilitation. He has trained in Qatar, Madrid, Ireland, and Calgary.

After graduating, Alex completed a residency with the province's orthopedic surgeons with a significant focus on ACL rehabilitation. In addition to advanced training in lower body injury, Alex has done additional training in hand and wrist rehabilitation and vestibular and concussion rehabilitation.

He has been an invited guest lecturer at various surgical and rehabilitation conferences and is a lead instructor in post graduate advanced ACL and lower body rehabilitation courses.
